Best Western Brings Eastern Charm to Mandalay

Bangkok (Thailand) – December 16, 2015 (travelindex) – Best Western Hotels & Resorts has continued its rapid growth in Myanmar with the launch of new hotel in Mandalay. The new Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel is located in the heart of the city, just minutes from Mandalay’s main business district and many historical landmarks.

A modern midscale hotel, Best Western Plus Eastern Palace offers a selection of rooms and suites that combine the latest amenities, such as flat-screen TVs, USB ports and complimentary Wi-Fi, with local touches that represent the traditional warmth of Myanmar hospitality.

Guests will be able to sample local and international cuisine at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, take a relaxing drink at the lobby lounge, or cool off in the shaded outdoor swimming pool, which also features a pool bar.

Alternatively, the hotel’s spa, fitness center, steam room and sauna provide a variety of ways for guests to unwind after a hard day’s business or sightseeing.

And for corporate guests, Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel features a business center and meeting space for large or small events.

“Best Western was one of the first international hotel groups to enter Myanmar following its re-emergence on the international stage, and I am delighted to be able to leverage our first-mover advantage with yet another superb hotel in the country,” commented Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations – Asia.

“Following our two properties in Yangon, Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel will be another excellent addition to our nationwide portfolio. With Myanmar’s recent elections having passed off peacefully and successfully, this charming and alluring country is set for another prolonged period of prosperity.

“I am delighted that Best Western Hotels & Resorts is able to play a part in Myanmar’s bright future, and look forward to welcoming guests to Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel,” Mr. Berrivin added.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts made its debut in Myanmar in 2013 with the launch of the Best Western Green Hill Hotel in central Yangon. It has since added a second hotel in Yangon, Best Western Chinatown Hotel.

Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel will become the company’s third hotel in Myanmar, and the company is planning to expand its footprint further across the country in the coming years.
