Thailand Events Calendar – March 2017

Celebration is part of Thai culture. 2-4 March 2017
Samut Sakhon Seafood Festival
Where: Samut Sakhon
The festival gathers over 50 booths selling fresh and processed seafood, OTOP products, and cultural performances.

3-4 March 2017
Stress Free Music Festival
Where: Chiang Rai
Chill out by relaxing songs performed by famous singers such as Jennifer Kim & Koh Mr.Saxman, Neung Jakkawal, Tu Nantida. Meet celebrity chefs who create varieties of Thai and local foods. Other activities include painting and Thai massage.

3-5 March 2017
ASEAN Zebra Dove competition
Where: Khwan Mueang Park, Yala
ASEAN Zebra Dove Tournament is divided into many categories; low-pitch class, middle-pitch class, high-pitch class, harmony class, Star class and Big Zebra Dove. Extra activity is Red-whiskered bulbul contest.

3-12 March 2017
Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism festival and Red Cross Fair
Where: Prachuap Khiri Khan
Enjoy 3 bays sailing and the scenery of Prachuab Khiri Khan’s sea, and Thai classical dance for Red cross. Climbing up Khao Krachok and enjoy shopping each district’s famous goods and other local products.

4 March 2017
A Tribute to Our Father, A Joy to Our King
Where: Bangkok, The Entertainment Stage, Lumphini Park
The event includes world famous Jazz Big Band and composers such as “Duke Ellington” accompanied by Royal Thai Army Band and CU Band from Chulalongkorn University which will play all 48 Royal Musical Compositions. Everyone is welcome to attend the event free of charge.

4-18 March 2017
Thao Thep Kasattri and Thao Si Sunthon Festival
Where: Thaland, Phuket
A festival to commemorate Thao Thep Kasattri and Thao Si Sunthon for protecting Thalang (Phuket) from being attacked by the Burmese. The festival includes performances about historical events, booths selling local products and local foods.

10-12 March 2017
International Kite Festival
Where: Cha-am Beach, Phetchaburi
Enjoy watching kites from all over the world, including creative kites and national kites at Chula kite and Pukpao kite exhibition and international kite exhibition.

Don Kai Dee Benjarong Festival
Where: Samut Sakhon
Shop Benjarong porcelain crafted by Benjarong Don Kai Dee villagers. Shop OTOP products, good-valued blue flag products and various types of orchids. Watch the demonstration of Benjarong making and other exhibitions and shows performed by famous artists.

14-22 March 2017
Sweet Grape and Best of Damneun Saduak
Where: Wat Chotitayakaram, Ratchaburi
The fair includes sweet grape and agricultural product contest, Sweet Grape Kid Contest, water sports, Cooking and Baking contests, Noodle Seasoning and Eating contest, booths selling OTOP products.

World Wai khru Muay Thai Ceremony and Thai Martial Arts Expo
Where: Ayutthaya Historical Park
Visitors can enjoy exciting Muay Thai fights between Thai and foreign boxers including Kanomtom Belt Tournament and Amateur Muay Thai Tournament at Wat Mahathat. There are also demonstrations on Thai craftsmanship, Yantra tattooing, the making of Aranyik sword, Thai Martial Arts shows, the demonstration on cooking Thai food and Muay Thai boxing camp. Enjoy the Muay Thai Heritage Miracle Fight at Wat LhungKha Khao by all time favorites Thai boxers.

Chomphon Marian Festival
Where: Chumphon
Tourist activities include mangrove forest tour, riding on a boat, squid fishing, paying respect to Prince of Chumphon Shrine, Fishing Tournament, Running up Khao Mutsea Race, Riding up Khao Mutsea Rally, Beach Ball competition, Bird Nest Expo, Sea Life and Rare animals Expo.

Tarutao Retrace Mini Maraton
Where: Tarutao Island, Satun
Tarutao Retrace Mini Maraton held on 19th February, 2017 at at Tarutao Island, Satun. The race is divided into 3 categories; Mini Marathon, Fun Run, and Walk Rally.

Trat Memorial Day Festival
Where: Trat City Hall, Trat
The fair includes a parade to honour King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), Trat history exhibition, light and sound performance depicting the story of how Trat was taken back from France, shops for local goods and agricultural products.

Thao Suranaree Memorial Fair
Where: Thao Suranari Statue, Nakhon Ratchasima
The fair features shops and exhibition by public and private organizations, fireworks, Miss Nakhon Ratchasima Contest, Performances by famous artists, Cultural performances.

Similar Music Festival
Where: Songkhla
Chill out by relaxing songs on the beach performed by famous singers such as ben chalatit Nuvo  The Palace & pu anchalee The Parkinson Mild and more.

Khao Phanom Rung Festival
Where: Phanom Rung Historical Park, Buri Ram
Highlights include a rarely seen invocation ritual or buang suang ceremony, a procession to pay homage to the gods and celestial beings, a traditional Northeastern Thailand or I-San-style hope bai dinner, cultural presentations, the Phanom Rung Devalai light-and-sound presentations and traditional cultural performances and sales of a range of souvenirs, village handicrafts and products from the sub-districts (tambon) of Buri Ram province promoted under the OTOP – One Tambon One Product banner.
